LONG-TAIL

What Does It Mean to Be Truly Heard?

Being heard is the experience of having your words taken seriously by someone who is present with you. It is not the same as being agreed with, fixed, or given an immediate answer.

Attention

The listener stays with what you are saying instead of preparing a story about themselves or waiting for a chance to interrupt.

Accurate understanding

They check what they heard and let you correct them. They do not turn one sentence into a confident diagnosis of your whole life.

Respect for your agency

You remain the person who decides what to do next. A listener can support your thinking without taking control of it.
